Sex or Love making? What do you call it?

Let’s talk it out. So, what do you call “it”? Is it sex, love making or is it the same thing?

I want to share with you a poem from my new book “T.U.S.S.”. By the way, if you haven’t ordered your copy yet, just click on the shop bottom at the top of this page. Thanks in advance for your support!

Ok, so as I was saying, I want to share with you a poem from my new book. It’s sexy and full of love making. I wonder what comes to your mind as you are reading it. Now here’s the thing, we are clearly discussing the difference, if any, between the word(s) sex and love making. Is it a feeling or thought, or is it a connection? This poem makes me think about… oh, wait. I will tell you what I think, after you read the poem.

Poem: Love

Formed by the fold of your mold

I lay helplessly as I observe strength

My eyes stretch across the broadness of your length

I inhale the essence of your scent

Your touch and all the existence of you is so smooth

It soothes my inner being and I welcome you

Blend, bend, we blend, how our love is true

I’m familiar with your eyes, your fingertips,

The structure of your chin and your lips

I can never question the perfection of this ship

I receive the message and I reply

You my love I will never deny

My love is anchored, no wings to fly

Rain, rain creation sends

Life at its beginning becomes the end

You ever had it so good your language change? Like, in your mind this very same poem would read as: “My body bending with yours, you got me on lock, I can’t move, I like the way that thang look and you smell good too, you feel so good entering me, aw yeah, let me look back at you, the way you touching me, you look so good, you can call me anytime, day or night I’ll come running, I ain’t going nowhere, aw yeah make momma rain”….

LOL, ok that was horrible nasty girl talk, I should have had my tuss Cardi B do the remix of the poem. I was trying to break down each line of the poem piece by piece… but the point I’m trying to make is; when that thang is so good, you get tongue-tied, the words you are trying to say don’t want to come out right, you be tired but don’t want to quit, painful stuff don’t really hurt (at the moment)…. y’all know what I am talking about. That good, good!

What do you call that? If we say it’s just sex, does that make the act feel less than worthy in some way? If our description of the act is love making, is that some how better than sex? Or is it about the connection?

I think it all has to do with the connection you have, with the individual you are “mating” with. There are different levels of intimacy. I think the act can be better or worst depending on the person you are with. For instance, is it your soul mate or just someone you are being social with? The poem makes me think about that one time, when the intimacy was high and the feeling was love…. I think it’s about the connection between the two people. Sex is love making, when it’s done with the person you want to share your body with. You can choose to share your body with just one person or multiple. But, I don’t believe you have to necessarily “love” the person. The act in itself can be love but to call it love, you would have to define love and love can only be defined by it’s giver. In other words, the act is what you call it, as you are the the owner and giver of it. Call it sex or call it love making, It will hold whatever value you give it.

Let’s talk it out. Remember, this is a safe space for us to talk about our truths. To share and encourage one another. You are my tuss and I am yours. Your opinion is valued, respected, and valid.

Hey Tuss, What’s your story?
